This event is to support the 113 students currently sponsored by FOTIS across 12 projects in 8 countries. Since October 2024 we have added a new project, a school in a rural community in Haiti, Anse-à-Pitre, a town on the southern border with the Dominican Republic. 10 girls in seventh and eighth grade at the school are now sponsored by FOTIS. Affordable secondary education is scarce in this area while being essential in order to keep children, especially girls, from illegally crossing the border to find employment of any sort often in dangerous environments. The school is run by the Congregation of the Salésiennes de Don Bosco who are dedicated to education. They have many schools in Haiti and in Anse-à-Pitre they also provide vocational training after eighth grade.

In 2024 again we witnessed the graduation of many students sponsored by FOTIS: some will continue on to university, some to professional training. All express their gratitude for the opportunities given to them by FOTIS’s bursaries.

Thank you for the lasting impact you have already made, it wouldn’t have been possible without your generosity and support. Please help us to continue to give hope through education
